A: The Homeward Bound Humane Society ( also known as the Licking County Humane Society or LCHS ) is a nonprofit volunteer organization devoted to the humane treatment of animals. LCHS seeks to further the mission by sheltering and adopting, advocating and promoting quality care, educating the public, and reducing overpopulation by spaying and neutering.LCHS is a NO-KILL shelter which provides a safe haven for dogs and cats while they transition from their past lives to their future, "forever" homes. LCHS relies solely on donations and largely on volunteers to do vital work in the community. The humane society fights to save the lives of homeless, abused, and neglected animals throughout Licking County and here at Lubana, we think that it is a worthy cause.
